Hi I have worked at Mountain Gate vets since 2018. I  graduated from University of Queensland in 2000. Since graduating I  have mostly worked in a large busy  hospital in Melbourne with an interest in animal welfare, and emergency care of companion animals.

I have enjoyed stepping into general practice at Mountain Gate Vets and working with the great team we have, and meeting the clients and their beautiful pets!

Hi! My name is Jason. I graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2018. Since graduating, I have worked at various clinic across east side of Melbourne, treating dogs, cats, and small mammals. I joined the team at Mountain Gate Veterinary Clinic in 2023.

I am interested in all aspects of veterinary medicine, however I particularly enjoy internal medicine cases as well as educating our clients in my general practice consults about their pets.

Hi, I’m Chanel and I graduated from James Cook University in 2023. Before starting at Mountain Gate Veterinary Clinic, I participated at the International Surgical Training Centre in Thailand, as I have a strong passion for animal welfare, soft tissue surgery as well as dermatology.

My name is Tayla , I have been nursing at MGV for over a year and working in the industry for over 3 years. I love to work with large / giant breed dogs and often bring my dog Spike into the clinic to hang with the rest of the team.

Hi, I’m Janet . I have been working as a vet for over 30 years and still love the challenge and variety of being a veterinarian.

I have grown up with lots of animals and cannot imagine a household without pets.

While studying Veterinary Science at Melbourne University I worked many years as a veterinary nurse in a busy pet emergency center. Early in my veterinary career I worked in the UK for a year seeing lots of unusual creatures.

Growing up with dogs, I treat them as my best friends and family. I became a vet nurse to play with and care for the animals in my ward.

Besides work, I spend all my time with a little brain master cat, named Pho (aka Princess), who loves camping and road trips. We have little training classes now and then. She can jump through a hoop and play dead to surprise people.

My love for animals began with my very first childhood pets and has only grown stronger over the years. With the encouragement of my family and industry mentors, I’ve been fortunate enough to volunteer and work with a wide variety of animals, from local pets in Melbourne to wildlife in South Africa.

Having previously worked as an Animal Technician and a Kennel Attendant, I am thrilled to transition into my role as a Junior Veterinary Nurse. I feel so lucky to be part of the Mountain Gate Veterinary Clinic team, and I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members!
